Maunawili Shell Ginger: Every time I drive to Kailua to visit my printers I pass Maunawili. Along the side of the road is a very long length of shell ginger growing which I admire so much. These plants are very prolific growers but their lovely flowers draping like a string of shell is an inspiration. The original is a watercolor.
